High Precision Slewing Drive
Slewing drive is usually composed of worm, slewing bearing,
housing, motor and other components. Since its main components
adopt slewing bearing, it can bear axial force, radial force and
tipping moment at the same time. Compared with traditional slewing
products, the slewing drive is easy to install, easy to maintain,
and saves installation space to a greater extent.
The product has a wide range of applications and can be widely used
in heavy-duty flatbed trucks, container cranes, truck-mounted
cranes, mining machinery, aerial work vehicles, radar devices,
solar power generation systems for sun patrols, construction
machinery and new energy fields. Usually when the rotary drive is
installed on the main engine, the meshing backlash of the worm gear
and the worm has a very important influence on the performance of
the main engine.
In order to ensure the operation flexibility and smoothness of the
slewing drive, there are certain requirements for the backlash of
the worm gear and worm of the slewing drive. However, the existence
of backlash in the worm gear transmission means that when the
rotation direction changes, there is no transmission for a certain
distance, which affects the transmission accuracy of the rotary
drive device. Slewing drives are often used in low-speed and
heavy-load work situations.
With continuous use, the wear of worm gears and worms causes the
increase of backlash, and the increase in backlash cannot be
adjusted to compensate, resulting in a continuous increase in
meshing impact. The working condition of the slewing drive
deteriorates sharply, which greatly shortens the working life of
the slewing drive and increases the cost of use.

Features
1. Gear ratio
The rotation of the slewing ring drive reduces the speed of the
driven member and also multiplies its torque and increasing it
proportionally as the speed decreases.The speed ratio of shafts
depends upon the relation of the number of threads on the worm to
the number of teeth in the worm wheel or gear.
2. Hourglass worm
Our slewing drives are using hourglass worm technology, in which
the worm is shaped to engage more teeth in the gear. This increased
tooth engagement results in greater strength, efficiency and
durability.
3. Function
Slewing drives function with standard worm technology, in which the
worm on the horizontal shaft acts as the driver for the gear, in
general, the shaft is driven by electric gear motor. And it is
self-locking.
Applications
1. Photovoltaic power generation field Photovoltaic power
generation is an important application field of rotary drive. The
use of solar photovoltaic modules with rotary drive as a rotating
component can accurately adjust the rotation angle and elevation
angle of the host according to the different positions of the sun
during the day. The panels are at an optimal receiving angle.
2. The field of wind power generation Same as photovoltaic power
generation, the rotary drive can be applied to the yaw part of the
wind turbine to realize the horizontal 360° rotation of the
mechanism, so as to better adjust the receiving angle.
