Enclosed Housing Slewing Drives Description
Hangtuo's worm gear slewing drive featured with good enveloping
worm and gear meshing and multi tooth contact that makes the
slewing drive with high backholding torque to improve the solar
tracking system's safety. It is self-locking and can rotate max ±65
°. If more bigger range needed, it can be customized.

Applications
How the slewing drives works in the single axis solar tracking
system?
Taking the east-west horizontal single-axis tracker as an example,
the principle of horizontal single-axis tracking is explained. The
rotation axis of the solar tracking system is arranged in the
north-south direction. Then, according to the change of the sun's
azimuth angle, the photovoltaic modules are rotated around the axis
of rotation, and the orientation of the modules on the tracker is
adjusted according to the degree of sunlight excitation, reducing
the angle between the normal of the photovoltaic modules and the
direct sunlight, and increasing the solar radiation on the surface
of the module. , which can effectively increase the power
generation. The power generation of the flat single-axis tracking
system can be increased by 10% to 25% in most areas. The power
